AA IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS HAS CLOSED DOWN EFFECTIVE 9/15/25
Unfortunately, the Great Freight Recession continues to drag on!Of course, this has negatively affected nearly all of our customers, and the new truck cycle is probably still over a year away from meaningfully improving.
Although the first half of the year at AA was pretty good, our backlog for new tuck / sleeper builds has now totally evaporated. At this time, we have nothing for the team at AA to build and it is not possible for the location to be profitable on service alone.
Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to close down the AA Truck Sleeper location in Ft. Worth, Texas effective immediately. We have consolidated AA’s operations into our Bolt Custom Trucks location in Ft. Wayne, IN.
Of course, we will continue to service AA Truck sleepers and builds at Bolt in Ft. Wayne, IN, just like we have done for years. It is unfortunate that we will no longer have the location in Texas as a service alternative for both AA and Bolt customers, and we apologize to our customers that we no longer have this flexibility. However, as we all know that tough times require tough actions.
We are all weathering this storm together. This is an action that we have had to take to make our company stronger, so we can be a partner for our customers for many years to come. We are confident for all of our sakes that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. However, for now that light remains out of reach. This is a difficult action that we have been forced to take to deal with the current freight environment.
We would like to thank AA’s loyal customers over the years and the team at AA – especially Alex Martinez. Many of you have had the pleasure of interacting with Alex over the years and you know there is nothing he wouldn’t do for all of you as customers. I’d like to take this time to thank Alex and wish him a long and prosperous retirement!
